life through a lens

Why I live my life through a lens:

A lot of people always question why I take videos and pictures of everything, and I tell them that it is a lifestyle that I was meant to live- capturing the moment. From my love for traveling, it blows my mind how beautiful this Earth is, and why not capture the beauty that I see through my own eyes. No matter where you are, your own town or an exotic location on the other side of the world, you can always find beauty in anything around you. As much as I love traveling, my love for photography and videography taught me that it’s not always about where you physically are, it’s about where your mind is. You could be in the most exotic location ever, Thailand for example, but if you don’t have a creative mindset, the location doesn’t even matter. That is why I learned that through enough practicing, you start to develop a skill that you can use to create the best quality content, even if it’s in your own home. You don’t have to be on the other side of the world to capture good photos. It’s the little things in life that allow you to view everything in your surroundings in a new light. As much as I want to live a non-stressful and carefree life without the worry of capturing every thing i’m doing, I have come to realize that taking pictures and videos is something I am extremely passionate about—- whether it takes a lot of work or not, it is always worth it in the long run. With my passion for living life through the lens of my camera, I learned that these precious photos that I capture, will not only bring back a ton of memories, but will take me instantly back to that moment- and that, is something I will treasure for the rest of my life.

Pros and Cons:

Sure you can argue that you are not 100% living your experiences to the fullest because you are too focused on photographing and too busy filming it, but I think you can do both in moderation. Enjoy your surroundings and priceless moments, but at the same time, filming it will not hurt your overall experience, as long as you do it in moderation. In my opinion, the pro’s override the con’s in regards to living life with a camera always by your side. The key is doing it in moderation. I could go on about this forever, but these are just a few reasons as to why I don’t think having a camera always by your side is such a bad thing. Because it changed my life.
